Food & Agribusiness Development Company (FADC)
Food & Agribusiness Development Company (FADC) Limited is a social enterprise that is transforming smallholder farmers into food sufficient and profitable agribusiness entities. We are doing this by buying farmers’ produce at fair prices, supplying improved agri-inputs and training. We also help medium- and other large-scale farmers become more profitable. We currently have operations in Lilongwe, Malawi, one of Sub-Saharan Africa’s highly endowed nations.

To create and develop innovative food and agro-based enterprises and help others do the same in order to eliminate unemployment, food insurity and poverty
Develop and implement innovative poverty eliminating food and agribusiness development initiatives among Malawi’s rural and urban poor
FADC has Two Functions
FADC PRODUCTION
FADC PRODUCTION – this is the Agribusiness arm of FADC that aims to do the following::
- Purchase land (farms) for profitable farm development.
- Trade in viable agro-commodities and inputs including seeds
- Co-invest with local and international investors in viable value chains
- Establish agro-based value addition (processing) units and outlets for the same.
FADC PROJECTS
FADC PROJECTS – this arm of FADC engages in:
- Designing and implementing projects that promote rural and urban agribusinesses development
- Designing and implementing projects that enhance the availability and quality of as well as access to food for rural and urban food security and nutrition improvement
- Designing and implementing initiatives that support the food and agribusiness sectors
